Childhood Memories Theme Contest WINNER!!!

This time around our theme for a contest among group members was "Childhood Memories". We were asked to submit a handmade item from our shop that was reminiscent of our childhood summers....

Our members voted, and The Crazy Elephant's Freezie Sleeves won!

We all remember eating Otter Pops and Freeze Pops in the hot sticky summers! The Crazy Elephant's sleeves protect little hands from the freezing cold (and prevent messy drips!) and best of all--they are earth friendly! You can reuse them over and over again...much better than the waste generated from wrapping a paper towel around them like my mom did :)

Meet Bonnie Lass Boutique!

Introducing Bonnie Lass Boutique!

"My name is Tara and I am a married 26yr old mother of two. I love making hair bows for little girls including my own. I think they are absolutely timeless and the picture of childhood.
I began making bows for my daughter to match her different outfits and soon realized I could do the same for myself. That is why you will see accessories for girls and women in my shop.

I put forth a great amount of time and effort creating quality products...that not only I would wear but also my children, family and friends...I would not ship a product to a customer that I didn't first find acceptable to someone I know personally :) "

Here are a few items from her shop!

Meet Jaydemia!!

Hi, It's Rozelyn of Jaydemia. My love for jewelry has inspired me to start a company that provides limited edition, high quality handmade jewelries.

In my search for unique materials, I fell in love with nature and recycling. Thus, Eco-Style Collection was born. Eco-Style jewelries highlight the use of small wood and shells that are abundant and are usually thrown away in the Philippines.

By working closely with a friend who started a Livelihood program for the wives and widowers of fishermen in a small island town in the Philippines, I was able to have uniquely handcrafted environment-friendly beads for my creations. At the same time, had the opportunity to help those really talented yet impoverish women. Each eco-bead used in this collection are pure labor of love and is fairly traded.

As what I always say, "With each Eco-Style jewelry, you'll not only LOOK good, you'll definitely FEEL good as well."

Meet the Crazy Elephant on Etsy!

I'd like to introduce one of our team members, The Crazy Elephant!

"Adam and I went to school for media arts and animation. After we got married we started Morgan Media our small animation company online. We have done advertisements for .tv and Acer laptops. When we had our son, Jayne, our animation time went down to 0 and we started creating thing just for him. it started with the burp cloths for me. I designed them based on one I got a a gift, but adjusted it to work better for me. Many people asked where I got them and I told them that I made them. Then I started to get orders from people for them. Adam started by making Jayne the cutest little knit bear hat. That was just as popular. Then, in August, a friend of ours recommended that we sell our artwork on etsy. I thought of the success I had with the burp cloths when Jayne was a baby and decided to give it a shot. We opened The Crazy Elephant at the end of August 2009. The shop is named after Jayne, who loves elephants and spends many hours stomping..."

Here are a few of the items she carries in her Etsy shop!
