A while back we sent baskets to expectant mothers over at CEM. We will be blogging their reviews of the products they recieved a little at a time. Here is another review of Abigail's Boutique Designs and Beautiful Bow Baby by one of our members:

I love this lotion from BasketsOfBeauty! It is so lightweight and absorbs easily. No greasy hands here! The fragrance is just right too. Not too light; not too much. Definitely a nice pick-me-up treat for yourself!

BasketsOfBeauty/ Abigail's Boutique Design also sent a cute little Hippo Clip. It's easy to take on and off and it is very well made. I don't have to worry about the hippo or the flower coming off. I love purple!

What a beautiful headband with bow from Beautiful Bow Baby! The apricot color is a nice change from the usual pink and the bow is so sturdy. It survived the transit in perfect shape. This one will definitely hold up to little grabby fingers. It's very well put together and the headband part is very soft, yet sturdy enough to easily support the bow's weight.

Bath Bomb Tutorial

Very Basic recipe (there are tons on the net)

• 11/2cup baking soda
• 1/2 cup citric acid
• fragrance
• water soluble dye

Measure out your baking soda in a wide container. For this tutorial i did 2 colors so just put half in each container. Mash it up to make sure its nice and smooth with no clumps or lumps. Yes i used a potatoe masher.

next add a drizzle of your water soluble dye into each container. Im using cherry and iced lemon.

Mix it really good. I use the masher to get it lightly mixed then get your hands in ther and squish it up good.

Now your ready to add your fragrance. Drizzle it in like you did with the dye and mix again. Use your hands and work it real good. Ok that makes me sound like a perv.LOL

If your adding moisturizing oils and butters you would do that now but if not move on to the next step.I didnt take a pic of this step since i only supplied with a bare basic recipe.

Now very last you want to add your citric acid. You do this so the liquids dont set of your fizzy action.

Mix it with your masher and hands again make sure there are no clumps.

Have your mold and everything ready im making tablet shapes in a pvc pipe.

Spritz your mixture with alcohol just enough to get it damp and hold together like sand.Mix it quick before it sets off the fizz.

Scoup it into your mold. i fill mine about 1/2 full which is about 4 loose tablespoons.

Smoosh it down. You want to make sure they are packed nice and tight. Unmold. Then when your all done keep them away from humidity till they dry. Do a little dance to keep the humidity gremlins away and pray they come out like this.

Of course you could just say for get it and order from me. ;o)

Baby Kays Boutique, Where do you find your inspiration?

My kids are defiantly my #1 inspiration. They are the reason I make children's clothes and they are the inspiration behind every design. When my 3 year old talked about nothing but dance and how she was a ballerina I made her tutus and they did well on etsy also. When my 5 year old said her favorite food was cupcakes I had to make her a cupcake outfit..it also did well on etsy. So if it were not for the creative minds of my beautiful little girls I wouldn't know what to make next.

Abigail's Boutique Designs, Where/How did you learn your craft?

I have always been very crafty but when my son was 2 years old we moved out into our first apartment. I was a full time college student trying to make my way as a single mom. I felt horrible for not providing enough fun activities for me and my son to do together so when i came across a duck soap i new my son would love it. We started with melt and pour soap base from michaels and immediately i got hooked. I searched the internet to learn how to make a better, more natural product and soon found all i needed to run my own bath & body company from home. I have been doing that now for more than 5 years. After the birth of my daughter i wanted to make some more girly things (since i was deprived for so long) that i got into hair bows, tutus and more. I learned this from the internet free instructions and groups like this one. I have been sewing for over 5 years as well thanks to my hubby for showing me. I started with lounge pants for my son and now offer a wide range of sewn items. My soap company was named Baskets of Beauty but after having abby and expanding my business and clientel it is now Abigail's Boutique Designs.
Over all through trial and error with a little guidance from the net and forums most of the items i make now especially my b&b items were mostly self taught or perfected. It takes tons of hard work, drive, motivation, and will to succeed.
